The University of Manchester Cricket Club is one of the largest cricket clubs in the country, boasting well over 100 active members year-on-year. We have four teams playing in the BUCS Leagues, two friendly teams, as well as a summer XI which continues fixtures during vacation.

The UMCC prides itself on being completely inclusive for any player: young or old; county player or cricket beginner – the only requirement is that you are a member of the University of Manchester.

If you are interested in joining the club or want to know more about us, please find us at the SPORT Manchester Fair during Welcome Week in September.

Trials for the 2017-18 season will happen after welcome week, and information on this will be given to you at sign up.

Trials are simply to decide which ability group you are assigned to.

Should you wish to join later in the season, please get in contact.

Training is held on Mondays and Fridays, 6-9pm, at Manchester Grammar School's newly-built sports hall.

Our coaches have both county and international experience,
and will help you improve on every aspect of your cricket.

Before the outdoor season starts each year we also hold a training week, in order to hone our skills before the matches start.

Every year, the UMCC embarks on a cricket tour to a different part of the world as a final chapter in the academic year.

Previous Tours have included:

Magaluf (2009)
Amsterdam (2010)
Benidorm (2011)
Prague (2012)
Sri Lanka (2013)
Malta (2014)
Barcelona (2015)
Sri Lanka (2016)
Malta (2017)

In March 2014, we also hosted our first ever UMCC Ski Tour, held in Andorra, which has been repeated in both 2015 and 2016.
